How the switch works

You turn each suggestion on or off one by one. Afterwards you see what worked and what is left to do by hand.

  1. Scan the serverLizbot detects known bots, log channels, welcome texts, ticket panels and role menus. Scanning changes nothing.
  2. Review suggestionsYou see beforehand what will be created and turn each item on or off.
  3. Bring it overLevels come from a file or a public leaderboard, role menus, texts and panels from your server.
  4. Test side by sideLizbot and your old bot can run together for a while. Lizbot shows you where the two may overlap.

The assistant brings over

  • Levels and XPFrom a CSV or JSON file, and for one widely used leveling bot straight from its public leaderboard. You decide whether levels or XP stay the same.
  • Reaction rolesWhen the message names both emoji and role, they keep working on the existing message.
  • Button menusLizbot rebuilds them in the same channel, and you delete the old message afterwards.
  • Welcome and goodbye textA real greeting from the old bot becomes a template. The mention, server name and member count become placeholders again.
  • Log channels and ticket panelsMod log and server log are mapped, and the buttons of a ticket panel become categories.

Frequently asked questions

Will my members notice the switch?

With reaction roles the message stays as it is and your members keep reacting as before. Button menus are posted again by Lizbot. Levels stay if you import them first.

Can I bring levels from any bot?

From a CSV or JSON file, yes. Straight from a public leaderboard it works for one widely used leveling bot. If your previous bot offers no export, fill in the template.

Do I have to remove the old bot right away?

No. Both can run side by side for a while. Lizbot shows you where the two may overlap, so nothing happens twice.
