Discord Permissions Calculator
Tick the permissions you need and get the matching number for invite links. Or paste a number and see which permissions it contains.
- Completely free
- No sign-up
- Runs only in your browser
Discord stores every permission of a role or bot as one single number in which each permission is its own bit. That number is exactly what follows permissions= in a bot invite link. This calculator knows every current Discord permission by its official name, converts in both directions, flags risky permissions like Administrator or Manage Roles and can build the finished invite link for your own bot right away.

Which permissions does Lizbot need?
By default you invite Lizbot with Administrator (number 8). That way channel overwrites do not block it, and the server builder, backups and server copy never fail on single permissions. The role hierarchy still applies: Lizbot only manages roles below its own.
Without Administrator, these 24 permissions are enough for Lizbot (number 1426891074807). It needs Manage Roles and Manage Channels for the builder, backups and setup plans.

How it works
Pick permissions
Tick permissions by group, use a quick preset or search for one. The number at the top updates instantly.
Decode a number
Already have a number or an invite link? Paste it at the top and the calculator ticks the permissions it contains.
Check the warnings
Critical and sensitive permissions are highlighted and explained. Only keep what your bot or role really needs.
Build the link
Enter your bot's client ID and copy the finished invite link with exactly these permissions.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Discord permissions integer?
Every Discord permission has a fixed bit, for example View Channels is bit 10 with the value 1024. Adding up the values you pick gives the permissions integer. Discord uses it for roles, channel overwrites and bot invite links.
Where is the number in the invite link?
In the permissions parameter of the URL, for example permissions=8 for Administrator. Discord shows exactly these permissions when inviting, and you can still untick single ones there. The bot receives them as its own role on the server.
Why is Administrator risky?
Administrator includes every other permission and overrides all channel settings. If an account or bot with it is compromised, it can change or delete the whole server. Only give it to bots and people you fully trust.
How do I find my bot's client ID?
In the Discord Developer Portal under your application, section General Information, as Application ID. It is public and not a secret, unlike the bot token, which you should never share.
Why is my bot missing permissions in a channel despite the number?
The number in the invite link applies to the whole server. Channel overwrites can still deny single permissions, and role permissions only affect roles below the bot's highest role. So also check the channel's permissions and the role order.
Is my input stored or sent anywhere?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Neither the number nor the client ID is sent to Lizbot or anyone else.
Put it on your server with Lizbot
Lizbot is invited with Administrator by default so the server builder, backups and server copy never fail on single channel permissions. If you prefer to be careful, invite it without Administrator. The server check in the dashboard then shows where Lizbot is missing a permission and can set it for you.
