A Discord timestamp like <t:1700000000:F> is a short code that Discord shows to every member in their local time and language. Write "tournament at 8 pm" and members in London or New York have to guess what that means for them. With a timestamp everyone instantly sees the right time, or a countdown like "in 3 hours". This generator creates all seven formats at once, shows you a preview and copies the code in one click. It runs entirely in your browser.

Times with Lizbot
For events, Lizbot sets the start and countdown as timestamps itself and reminds everyone who said yes. Lizbot sends scheduled messages at a set time or on repeat, and the timestamp you copied fits right into the text.
Everything stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to Lizbot or anyone else.
How it works
Pick the moment
Set the date and time. Your browser's time zone is already selected, but you can choose any other, for example when the event takes place in New York.
Go faster with buttons
Use "Now" or buttons like "In 1 hour" to jump straight to a moment. For anything else, enter a relative time such as in 2 hours or in 3 days.
Choose a format
Compare the seven formats in the preview: short or long time, date, date with weekday, or relative time as a countdown.
Copy and paste
Click "Copy" and paste the code into a message, an announcement or an embed. Discord converts it when you send it.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Discord timestamp?
A code in the format <t:UNIX_TIME:FORMAT>. Unix time counts the seconds since 1 January 1970 (UTC), and the letter at the end sets how it is displayed. Discord replaces the code in the message with a readable time.
Does everyone see the same time?
Everyone sees the same moment, converted to their own time zone and shown in the format of their Discord language. 8:00 pm in Berlin shows up as 7:00 pm in London and 2:00 pm in New York.
Which format works best?
For events, F (weekday, date and time) works well; for countdowns use R (for example "in 2 hours"). A popular choice is both together: <t:…:F> (<t:…:R>). For a time later the same day, t is enough.
Does the countdown update by itself?
Yes. The R format keeps updating in Discord and switches to "5 minutes ago" and so on once the moment has passed. You do not need to edit the message.
Do timestamps work in embeds?
Yes, in the description and in field values. In an embed's title, author and footer Discord does not convert the code, so it shows up as plain text there.
Can I read an existing timestamp?
Yes. Paste a code like <t:1700000000:R> or a Unix time under "Read a timestamp". The generator then sets the date and time and shows every format for it.
